Think about it. A promotion is a 'promotion'. You get to expose whatever you're hustling to your market and they'll react to it. Then, you need to deal with whether the promo brings about the results you've set or it didn't. You make the adjustment and you repeat the cycles.
That's the simplified version of the whole process and let's not touch on the time and budget involved. Those are factors that warrant specific discussions, not in this post anyway.
